breaking the rules of third

when you break the rule of thirds you take a photo where the subject is looking directly down the barrel or where you are presented with a scene with real symmetry. This creates the effect that you cant put the horizontal or verticle lines down and across the pictures.
Here is an example of Breaking the rules. As you can see this image is symetricle up and down. Therefore you cannot apply the rule of third to this image.

  2. from the picture of the elscualter going down it suggests that it is never ending as it seems that the image is going further down,this represents in a way a metophore which is that life is never ending.
